Job Title: Head, Human Resources
Activities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and long-term business objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for high-performing talent across all levels.
- Implement succession planning and career development programs to attract and retain top-tier talent in the retail sector.
- Performance Management & Employee Engagement:
- Drive a high-performance culture through structured performance management frameworks.
- Develop employee engagement programs that enhance job satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
- Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation structures, benefits packages, and reward programs.
- Ensure payroll and benefits administration is seamless and aligned with industry standards.
- Create learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and align with the company’s Premium retail standards.
- Monitor trends in retail HR practices and recommend continuous improvements.
- Maintain a positive work environment by managing employee relations and conflict resolution effectively.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory policies, and ethical standards in the retail industry.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence aligned with the brand’s premium identity.
- Utilize HR analytics to monitor key metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide regular reports to management on workforce trends, talent pipeline, and HR performance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or professional HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in the retail, Premium sectors.
- Proven ability to align HR strategy with business goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of driving change.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR analytics and performance management tools.
