Job Title: Business Development Lead

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Lead is responsible for driving growth and profitability by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • The role involves building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, negotiating business deals, and creating strategies for company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, markets and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Agricultural Economics or related field;

Experience:

  • Proven work experience in Business Development, Fund Management, Project Management or strong Agricultural Economics background.
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in Business Development, Project or Fund Management.
  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing or consultancy industry is a plus.

Skills:

  • Ability to organize work schedules on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ability to think on feet, plan and prioritize work by deadlines.
  • Excellent Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Presentation and Report Writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work well with team members at all levels
  • Willingness to travel as needed for partnership meetings and industry events
