Job Title: Retail Operations Manager

Job Summary

  • The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of retail outlets, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and excellent customer service.
  • This role involves developing strategies to improve operational efficiency, managing teams across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving sales performance to meet or exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the daily operations of retail outlets to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor store performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement performance management processes, including regular reviews and appraisals.

Sales and Customer Experience:

  • Drive sales initiatives and promotions to meet revenue goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all outlets.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.

Inventory and Supply Chain:

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain product availability.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all outlets comply with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.

Strategic Planning:

  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to propose new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to enhance brand visibility.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales growth and revenue targets.
  • Customer satisfaction scores.
  • Staff performance and retention rates.
  • Operational cost efficiency.
  • Inventory accuracy and shrinkage rates.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management, preferably in a multi-outlet environment.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
