Job Summary

• The Sage Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance using Sage software.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Record and manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations, using Sage software.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making.
• Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Audits: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
• Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights on cost-saving measures and financial improvements.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure that all financial documentation is stored securely.
• System Maintenance: Update and maintain the Sage accounting system, ensuring it reflects current financial data.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year of experience using Sage software.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Sage software (e.g., Sage 50, Sage Intacct).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
