Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
- The Maintenance Supervisor will support the Head of Maintenance Deapartment and is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all production equipment and facilities.
- This role ensures that equipment operates at peak efficiency, minimizes downtime, and supports the manufacturing team in achieving production goals while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment.
- Plan and schedule repairs, inspections, and maintenance to minimize production downtime.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance requests.
Team Management:
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of work.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Equipment & Facility Management:
- Ensure all machinery, tools, and systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Monitor the condition of equipment, recommending and overseeing replacements or upgrades when necessary.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source and maintain spare parts inventory.
Safety & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with production teams to align maintenance schedules with production goals.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Act as a liaison between maintenance and other departments to resolve operational issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications in Maintenance Management or relevant technical fields (e.g., CMRP, PMP).
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
