Job Title: General Manager
Job Summary
- The selected candidate will lead business development and sales in the engineering services sector, specifically focusing on drilling and production services.
- This role requires a technically skilled, commercially astute executive who can turn technical expertise into profitable opportunities.
- The ideal candidate will excel in managing a strong pipeline, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
Specific Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and capitalize on new business opportunities within the drilling and production services sector
- Utilize technical expertise to identify client needs and translate them into commercial solutions, linking technical discussions to potential revenue opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, while actively expanding industry networks and social equity
- Create and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive market expansion
- Strong awareness of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, with the ability to use market insights to drive strategic decisions
- Ensure accurate documentation of leads, opportunities, and sales activities, while tracking progress toward sales targets.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- An advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, drilling and production services sector,including market dynamics and client needs.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical sales or business development within the drilling and production services sector, with a proven record of driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical and commercial information clearly and persuasively
- Strong technical acumen coupled with exceptional commercial skills, and proficiency in building and managing business development pipelines.
- Highly organized, adept at managing multiple priorities and projects, with strong documentation and reporting capabilities to track sales activities and progress
- Visionary mindset with the ability to drive long-term business growth, aligning sales strategies with overall company objectives
- Strong analytical skills, capable of navigating complex challenges and developing effective solutions
- Demonstrates high integrity and a strong commitment to ethical business practices, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship.
