Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be key in sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical equipment and services required for our operations.
Your engineering expertise in electrical or mechanical fields will be instrumental in understanding the technical specifications and ensuring alignment with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with technical teams to identify procurement needs and develop specifications.
Source, evaluate, and select electrical and mechanical components, equipment, and services suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
Provide technical support during the evaluation of bids and proposals.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.
Strong understanding of technical specifications for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations is a plus.
