Job Title: Barman

Role Overview

• We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Barman to join our client’s hospitality team in Edo State.
• The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to guests, expertly prepare and serve drinks, and maintain a clean and welcoming bar area.
• This role is essential in ensuring a delightful customer experience and upholding the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Bartending & Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Mix cocktails with precision, adhering to recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain an extensive knowledge of drink offerings, ingredients, and pairings.

Customer Service:

• Provide friendly and professional service, engaging with customers to create a positive experience.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Recommend drinks and upsell premium offerings to enhance revenue.

Bar Maintenance & Hygiene:

• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper storage and handling of beverages.
• Monitor inventory levels and report replenishment needs to management.

Cash Handling & Record-Keeping:

• Process payments accurately and efficiently using the hotel’s payment systems.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, stock, and transactions.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other staff members to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Support colleagues during peak times and assist in maintaining overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of an SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• 2 – 4 years proven experience as a Barman or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of bar equipment, drink recipes, and safe alcohol service practices.
• Certification in bartending or hospitality is an advantage.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktail mixing, and bartending techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and a welcoming demeanor.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle bar equipment safely.

Salary
N60,000 – N70,000 Monthly.
