Job Title: IT Audit Officer

Description

• We are seeking an IT Audit Officer who will be responsible for conducting audits of the organization’s information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
• This critical role involves evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls, risk management practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• The IT Audit Officer provides independent and objective assessments to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk-based IT audit plans and programs to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, including network security, data protection, and disaster recovery.
• Review and evaluate IT processes and controls to ensure they align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assess IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and system vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT risk management practices and recommend improvements.
• Ensure IT audits are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Stay current with changes in IT regulations, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices.
• Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of IT audit methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives related to IT risk and control improvements.
• Work closely with IT departments, including security, infrastructure, and application teams, to understand their processes and controls.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with IT management and staff to facilitate effective audit processes and communications.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A master’s degree, professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) in related areas are preferred.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in in IT auditing, information security, or a related field, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of IT audit standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in auditing IT systems, network security, data protection, and compliance with IT regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in in IT audit tools and software.
