Job Title: Physiotherapist
Job Description
- This role is responsible for using a variety of physical techniques and therapies in the rehabilitation of patients who are suffering from illnesses, aging, disabilities and injuries in order to improve their movement and function.
- The Physiotherapist plans treatment, review recovery and conducting therapeutic exercise for patients.

Responsibilities
- Work with other physiotherapist in carrying out assessment of patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide a physiotherapy diagnosis of their condition.
- Providing support to patients by attending to their queries and giving directions as required.
- Follow clinical guidelines for the practice of physiotherapy in Lily Hospitals.
- Assess capacity, gain valid informed consent and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- Assist in daily ward rounds for in-patients, conducting complex mobilization techniques.
- Ensure that patients and relatives are appropriately informed and reassured of any discussions relating to patient procedures.
- Answer all questions and concerns of the patients, providing them with appropriate responses and putting the patient’s condition into the context of the procedure.
- Provide advice, teaching and instruction to patients and patient’s relatives to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients to maximize rehabilitation potential and to ensure understanding of condition
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (B. Sc) Physiotherapy.
- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in the health sector.
- Possess high degree of accuracy and attention to details.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
Professional (Memberships/Certifications):
- Registration with the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP).
- A practice license from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapy Board of Nigeria.
