Job Title: Facility Manager
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will ensure the facility remains functional, safe, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Manage building maintenance, repairs, and overall upkeep of the premises.
- Supervise staff, including maintenance workers, cleaners, and contractors.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Oversee utilities and ensure efficient energy usage.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and address any identified issues.
- Coordinate renovations, refurbishments, and space management.
- Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Handle emergency situations and respond to facility-related crises.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management or a similar role.
- Certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using facility management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
