Job Title: Trade Quality Specialist
Overview
- Responsible for ensuing the quality of products throughout the trade channel. Works closely with various stakeholders, including Suppliers, Distributors, and Retailers, to implement quality control measures, address quality-related issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- The role will contribute to maintaining the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality products to consumers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance of product to standard by auditing Distributors, Open Market, and Modern Trade
- Provide guidance and support to distributors regarding product quality standards, handling, and storage practices. Address any quality-related queries or concerns raised by distributors and work towards their resolution.
- Analyze quality-related data and generate reports to track performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management. Monitor key quality metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary to improve overall product quality.
- Quality Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues identified by consumers, retailers, or internal stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, supply chain, and customer service, to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.
- Builds productive relationships with stakeholders through regular meetings and follow-ups.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards and best practices for trade partners. Raise awareness about quality requirements, product handling, and storage practices to ensure compliance across the trade channel
- Promotes innovation ideas from team members and supports their implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in the trade quality management system.
Requirements
- A Bachelor Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Food Science and Technology
- At least 4 years working experience in CSD industry control/assurance function in a food and beverage company
- Knowledge of bottling operations
- Experienced in budgeting and people management
- Understanding of financial impact of decisions
- Ability to translate functional strategy into unit/section’s plan
- Ability to lead and manage change setting standards for managing performance.
- Ability to build and leverage relationships to improve result
- Good understanding and experience of current WC manufacturing methodologies.
- Good understanding of HQSE modalities and codes.
- Good understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards
- Good oral communication, influencing and relationship skills.
