Job Title: Chef

Description

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Chef to join our culinary team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • You will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
  • As a Chef, you will also be expected to manage kitchen staff, maintain inventory, and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • You will also be responsible for developing new recipes, planning menus, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Develop new recipes and plan menus.
  • Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other staff to create a positive dining experience.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree / FSLC / HND with 2-10 years work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to develop new recipes and plan menus.
  • Ability to manage inventory and order supplies.
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Ability to monitor food costs and minimize waste.
