Job Title: Procurement Officer
Job Summary
- We are looking for a highly skilled and organized Procurement Officer to manage our procurement processes and ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining good rapportwith vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, conduct market research, and analyze market trends.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Manage the procurement process, including requisition, tendering, and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on procurement activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPP) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
