Job Title: Excavator Operator

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, to perform various construction and excavation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently to excavate trenches, foundations, and other areas as directed.
• Perform various tasks such as loading trucks, digging, grading, and backfilling.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment, including daily inspections and minor repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
• Assist with other construction tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND / NCE qualification
• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator with a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or related field.
• Valid heavy equipment operator license
• Strong knowledge of excavation techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Experience operating other heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, and backhoes.
