Job Title: Store Manager – Tiles Industry

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to oversee our operations in the tiles industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the parts consumed in the industry and possess exceptional inventory management skills. The Store Manager will ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), optimize spare costs, and maintain an organized and efficient store environment.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Ensure effective planning and management of inventory, including spares replenishment as per SOP.
  • Raise requisitions for inventory as needed, while adhering to approved procedures.

Spares Management:

  • Oversee the management and planning of spare parts, ensuring availability and cost optimization.
  • Conduct monthly physical verifications of inventory on a cyclical basis to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs for receipts and issues of spares, maintaining proper documentation and records.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory status, usage, and other relevant metrics.

5S and Housekeeping:

  • Implement and uphold 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Regularly assess and enhance housekeeping practices within the store.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and facilitate the growth and development of the team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge in inventory management and store operations.

Loss Prevention:

  • Establish and enforce necessary controls to prevent pilferage and ensure asset protection within the store.

Collaborative Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate supply chain activities and improve overall store performance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an HND / BSc qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role within the tiles industry.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in relevant inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
