Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Job Summary
- We’re hiring a Inventory Control Specialist, who will specialize in mold inventory management in Awka, Anambra State.
- This role requires meticulous attention to detail and advanced numeracy and Excel skills to effectively manage mold inventory documents and ensure smooth mold inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mold inventory, including purchases, usage, maintenance, repairs, and damages.
- Track and analyze mold usage rates to optimize inventory levels and predict replacement needs.
- Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of molds to the extrusion department, monitoring that correct molds are sent based on production requirements.
- Maintain a detailed record of mold performance, documenting any issues related to wear, defects, or damage.
- Prepare and submit reports on mold usage, inventory levels, and maintenance activities to management.
- Collaborate with the production team to forecast mold demand and ensure alignment with production schedules
- Monitor mold inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for continuous production and alerting the necessary team timely to make new orders.
- Conduct periodic audits of mold inventory to ensure data accuracy.
- Develop improved processes and templates for tracking mold usage, maintenance, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to mold handling and inventory management.
- Provide recommendations for mold usage optimization and cost-saving measures based on analysis of inventory data.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Mathematics or any other numerical related field
- Proven experience in inventory management and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to details.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to liaise with production, and purchasing departments.
- Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of usage rates.
