Job Title: Director of Commercial

Description

  • The Director of Commercial Operations is a senior management role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of Telko Managed Services’ commercial operations to drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall business success.
  • The specific duties and scope of responsibilities will be across Telko IDA, Telko VAS Aggregation and FKG VAS content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve the company’s
  • commercial objectives, including revenue targets, market share growth, and customer acquisition goals.
  • Sales and Marketing: Leading and coordinating sales and marketing teams to develop effective
  • strategies for generating leads, closing sales, and promoting the company’s products or services. Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of services to customers, meeting quality and service level agreements
  • Business Development: Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company’s reach and revenue streams.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Oversee new product design, customer journey flow and effective new product testing for voice, data, and video services.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention by implementing effective customer service processes and strategies. Develop and implement service improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Supply Chain Management: Managing the company’s supply chain to ensure efficient delivery of products or services to customers while optimizing costs and inventory levels. Manage relationships with telecommunications vendors, service providers, and business partners.
  • Financial Management: Monitoring and analyzing financial data to track the performance of commercial operations and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing team of commercial operations professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Stay informed about telecommunications regulations, laws, and standards relevant to the industry.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to telecommunications services, data privacy, and security.
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory affairs teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks, ensuring that commercial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while also identifying and mitigating risks that could impact the business.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of commercial operations, and providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings within commercial operations, and implementing changes to drive continuous improvement. Establish processes for incident management, service requests, and escalations to resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Overall, the Director of Commercial Operations will play a crucial role in aligning the company’s commercial activities with its overall strategic goals, driving growth and profitability through effective planning, execution excellence, and leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Advertising or any related field is Social Sciences with 7-12 years experience.
  • A master’s degree in Sales and Negotiation may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in the telecommunications industry, with a strong background in VAS (value added services) delivery and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in telecommunications VAS.
  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Data Analysis and Business Intelligence and E-commerce and Digital Business.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and lead change in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective delegation capability

Salary
N1,000,000 / Month.
