Job Title: Credit Manager

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and manage credit risks across the mortgage portfolio to ensure alignment with the bank’s risk tolerance
• Perform in-depth credit analysis for loan applications, ensuring thorough evaluation of borrowers’ financial standing, creditworthiness, and collateral adequacy.
• Oversee the end-to-end credit approval process, including the evaluation and recommendation of mortgage loan applications.
• Regularly review and analyze the bank’s mortgage loan portfolio to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to address any credit-related concerns.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, or PRM) is an added advantage.
• 10–15 years of proven experience in credit management and risk management, with a focus on mortgage banking or related financial services.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, housing finance, and regulatory frameworks governing the mortgage banking industry.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis tools, and risk assessment software.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
