Job Title: Business Development Executive (with experience in the Telecommunication industry)
Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:
- Achieving Targets: Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities to meet and exceed Annual Business Plan targets.
- Client Mapping: Conducting extensive mapping of assigned regions to identify potential clients for Internet Leased Line and other products/services offered by the organization.
- Building Relationships: Establishing rapport with C-Level executives by mapping potential and existing accounts comprehensively.
- Client Engagement: Understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions; addressing client queries and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Collaboration: Working with sales and leadership teams to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
- Presentations: Preparing and delivering presentations at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
- Database Management: Maintaining a prospect database using tools like Salesforce, CRM, and Excel.
- Cold Calling: Making outbound calls, closing sales, and guiding clients through the closing process.
- Sales Quotas: Meeting or exceeding quotas for calls, appointments, and sales goals.
- Pipeline Management: Maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and using CRM tools to manage all sales activities.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborating on sales goals, planning, and forecasting to develop short- and long-term business development plans.
- Customer Support Coordination: Ensuring efficient resolution of customer issues by liaising with support teams.
- Collections: Achieving receivables collection targets.
Academic Qualifications
- Candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degrees
- NYSC Certification.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Telecommunications Business Development.
- 2 – 4 years experience in a B2B role.
Skills Required:
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with telecom technologies, including:
- Internet Broadband.
Soft Skills & Characteristics:
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Active listening and critical thinking abilities.
- Sales Negotiation: Proficient in negotiating sales deals.
- Positioning: Ability to create strong positioning for the organization, management, and self.
- CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with tools like Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of sales management, marketing, and business planning.
- Persistence: Capability to perform continuous follow-ups with multiple stakeholders.
Personal Attributes:
- Team player
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Salary
N1,500,000 – N1,800,000 Annually (plus sales incentives and other benefits).
