Job Title: Male / Female Resident Chef

Job Summary

  • Responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals for residents, guests, or family members, ensuring exceptional culinary experiences and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and cook meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Food Presentation: Present food in an appealing and visually attractive manner.
  • Special Events: Plan and prepare special meals and events, such as dinner parties, holiday meals, and other celebrations.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage food costs, staying within budget and minimizing waste.

Education and Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts Training: Formal training in culinary arts, such as a culinary degree or diploma.
  • Chef Certification: Certification as a chef, such as the Certified Executive Chef (CEC) or Certified Sous Chef (CSC) designation.
  • Food Safety Certification: Certification in food safety, such as the Food Safety Certification (FSC) or the Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) designation.

Required Skills:

  • Culinary Expertise: Proven culinary skills, with experience in meal planning, preparation, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, supply ordering, and health and safety compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain organization.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including dietary restrictions, ingredient availability, and special requests.

Working Conditions:

  • Kitchen Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and kitchen equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Physical demands, including standing, lifting, and bending.
  • Flexible Schedule: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary / Benefits

  • N120,000 – N200,000 monthly.
  • Accommodation is provided
