Job Title: Experienced Field Auditor
Job Summary
- We are looking for an objective and Experienced Field Auditor who is open to working anywhere in Nigeria to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
- The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document the process
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures
- Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee
- Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
- Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
- Keep a check on processes and regulations
- Ensuring staff compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Travel to different states for auditory reviews and assessment.
- Provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation based on empirical data findings.
- Providing solutions to the company’s internal problems
Requirements and Skills
- Proven working experience as an Auditor in a Microfinance or Lending company
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Sound independent judgement
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- A strong aptitude for maths.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- A keen interest in the financial system.
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report-writing skills.
- HND/BSc Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or a related field.
