Job Title: Communications Officer (Legal)
Job Summary
- The Communications Officer will manage the client’s project communications needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s or organization’s social media communications.
- Contribute to the design and production of communication materials, ensure dissemination of communication outputs.
- Promote visibility of the organisation’s work, create, and manage communications tools for external and internal communication including web and social media platforms.
- Coordinate media briefings and engagements.
- Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for a website, press releases, marketing material and other types of content that take the message to the public.
- Prepare and manage the organization’s communication budget.
Requirements
- Degree in law, Communications, or Social Sciences, with at least 5 years’ experience in communications.
- Excellent communications skills and fluency in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in basic graphic design and video production is highly desirable.
- Expertise in developing and implementing communications strategies
- Strong social and political consciousness
- Ability to compose engaging and accurate content
- Demonstrable understanding of civil society, media/advocacy work in the context of development.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and technical advocacy materials in simple language.
Salary
Negiotable.
