Job Title: Principal Sales Officer
Job Summary
- The Principal Sales Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives.
- This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record in business development, market penetration, and closing high-value deals.
- The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior sales staff.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high-value prospects and drive deal closures.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Build and manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct presentations, negotiations, and contract finalizations.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high client retention rates.
Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Track sales performance against set targets and provide regular reports.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine sales tactics.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor junior sales staff and support team development.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture within the team.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams for seamless execution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Client Acquisition Rate: Increase the number of new high-value clients.
- Conversion Rate: Improve lead-to-customer conversion efficiency.
- Customer Retention Rate: Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
- Market Expansion: Successfully penetrate new markets or industries.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant sales certification (e.g., CIM, ISM) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of sales experience, preferably in [industry-specific experience].
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in B2B or B2C sales, depending on the company’s focus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
