Job Title: Procurement Lead
Job Summary
- As the Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process by sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
- The role holder will also monitor budgets, track expenditures, and ensure timely procurement to support business operations and must be detail-oriented, proactive, skilled in negotiation and supplier management.
Job Responsibilities
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing procurement strategies to maximise efficiency and minimise expenses.
- Assisting in reviewing project budgets to ensure a minimum margin of 40% is maintained.
- Sourcing and procuring goods and services required for company operations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, ensuring the best possible prices, terms, and quality standards.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and terms.
- Monitoring supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and delivery schedules.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain.
- Tracking procurement expenditures and ensure cost control measures align with financial goals.
- Conducting supplier evaluations and audits to assess performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Monitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and economic factors that may impact procurement decisions.
- Assisting in developing contingency plans to mitigate risks related to supplier performance and availability.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree / HND in Sciences, Social Sciences, or any related field with at least a second-class upper division (2.1) from a reputable institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost-saving strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good analytical and financial skills to assess pricing and budget impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and stakeholder management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Salary
3,600,000 Annually (Gross).
