Job Title: Gallery Manager
Job Summary
- We are looking for a Gallery Manager that will oversee the daily operations of the gallery, ensuring smooth execution of exhibitions, events, and sales.
- The Gallery Manager will be responsible for curating the gallery’s collections, managing staff, coordinating with artists, and providing exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the gallery’s day-to-day activities, including opening, closing, and ensuring the space is clean and well-maintained.
- Maintain inventory of art pieces, ensuring proper cataloging and documentation.
- Oversee installation and de-installation of exhibitions, ensuring proper handling and care of artwork.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, collectors, and patrons.
- Handle inquiries, negotiate sales, and process transactions.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
- Plan and execute gallery events such as openings, artist talks, and workshops.
- Coordinate with artists, curators, and vendors for successful event delivery.
- Promote events to attract visitors and buyers.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, email newsletters, and press releases.
- Maintain the gallery’s website and online platforms with up-to-date information.
- Create promotional materials such as catalogs, flyers, and brochures.
- Recruit, train, and supervise gallery assistants, interns, and volunteers.
- Liaise with artists, curators, framers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and manage budgets for exhibitions and events.
- Monitor sales and expenses, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Art History, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gallery management, art sales, or a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of art trends, artists, and the art market.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sales and negotiation expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and social media platforms.
- Experience with art handling and installation is a plus.

N300,000 – N350,000 Monthly.
