Job Title: Auto Air Conditioner (AC Technician)

Job Description

• He will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing automotive air conditioning systems, including components like compressors, condensers, and controls, by identifying malfunctions, replacing worn parts, and recharging refrigerant, ensuring proper cooling function within a vehicle while adhering to safety protocols regarding refrigerant handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and troubleshooting: Inspecting automotive AC systems to identify issues like leaks, faulty components, or electrical problems causing cooling malfunctions.
• Component repair and replacement: Replacing worn or damaged parts like compressors, condensers, expansion valves, drier, and hoses.
• Refrigerant management: 
• Evacuating existing refrigerant, recharging the system with the correct amount of refrigerant, and checking for leaks using specialized tools.
• Electrical system checks: 
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues related to the AC system, including wiring and control modules.
• Cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning condenser coils, performing system flush, and lubricating components to maintain optimal performance.
• Customer communication: Explaining repair needs to customers, providing cost estimates, and addressing concerns.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a SSCE, NCE, or OND qualification with 3-10 years experience.
• Technical knowledge: Thorough understanding of automotive AC systems, including their components, operating principles, and diagnostic procedures.
• Mechanical skills: Ability to handle hand tools, specialized AC repair equipment, and safely handle refrigerants.
• Electrical knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical circuits and troubleshooting electrical issues within the AC system.
• Attention to detail: Precisely identifying leaks, checking refrigerant levels, and ensuring proper system functionality.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze system issues, identify root causes, and develop effective repair strategies.

Salary
N150,000 – N170,000 / Month.
