Job Title: Finance Manager
Job Summary
- The Finance Manager is a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the company.
- This role involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. She/he will provide valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary on variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies.
- Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, or segment.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure requests.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
- Develop and maintain budget templates and guidelines. Manage variance.
- Monitor budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare rolling forecasts to provide updated projections of future performance.
Financial Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or other relevant accounting standards).
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies.
Requirement
- 3 – 5 years of experience.
