Job Title: Solar Energy Solutions Technical Specialist
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar PV solutions in the C&I sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and industrial clients, EPC contractors, real estate developers, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Deliver technical sales presentations to corporate clients, emphasizing the financial and operational benefits of solar solutions.
- Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals with C&I customers.
- Support clients in energy transition planning, focusing on solar PV, hybrid energy systems, and battery storage solutions.
- Conduct site assessments, energy audits, and feasibility studies for C&I solar projects.
- Design and size solar PV systems for commercial and industrial applications, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, system layouts, yield simulations, and financial models.
- Work with engineering teams to develop grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar power solutions.
- Analyze load profiles, energy consumption data, and financial feasibility for solar projects.
- Stay up-to-date on solar technology advancements, battery storage, and Nigerian energy policies.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote solar solutions in the C&I sector.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create brochures, case studies, whitepapers, and digital content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Certifications in solar PV system design, energy management, or sales (e.g., NABCEP, SEI, PMP, LEED) are an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in solar energy solutions, with a focus on the C&I sector in Nigeria.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, and marketing of solar solutions.
- Experience in technical pre-sales, proposal development, and financing models for solar projects.
- Hands-on experience with solar design tools (PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, HOMER, etc.).
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology, inverters, energy storage systems, and net metering.
- Ability to conduct energy audits, analyze load profiles, and develop financial models for solar investments.
- Familiarity with hybrid solar-diesel and off-grid solutions for C&I applications.
- Experience dealing with DISCOs, GENCOs, NERC, and REA (Rural Electrification Agency).
Salary
Open to Negotiation.
