Job Description

• Supervised installation of substation equipment like distribution transformer, neutral ground resistor, medium and low voltage switchgear, AC & DC UPS, and batteries.
• Supervised earthing and lightning system installation.
• Supervised cable tray installation, cable pulling, testing, glanding and termination activities. Supervise testing and pre-commissioning activities on medium and low voltage switchgear such as testing of VT, CT, protection relays, VCB, ACB, transducers, OLR, ELR, busbar and line stability tests, ATS functionality tests, Hi-pot, IR, CRM tests.
• Supervise testing and pre-commissioning activities on Transformers such as ratio tests, winding resistance/IR tests, magnetising current tests, magnetic balance tests, vector group tests, and oil breakdown tests.
• Participate in SAT activities with OEM representative on AC/DC UPS systems such as battery charge/discharge tests, manual transfer of load from UPS to bypass and return, simulation of alarm conditions, inverter failure, and battery failure.
• Supervise Electric Motor tests such as winding resistance/IR tests, polarization index tests, motor solo run and mechanical run tests, and troubleshooting of the motor feeder in the case of a trip.
• Verify and review pre-commissioning test results to make sure they are in conformance with the project specifications.
