Job Title: Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)

Job Summary

• The CHEW will be responsible for delivering essential healthcare services, promoting community health, and assisting in patient care within the hospital. They will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide preventive and curative health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic medical care and first aid.
• Assist in maternal and child healthcare services.
• Educate patients on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Administer vaccines and support immunization programs.
• Monitor and report outbreaks of communicable diseases.
• Take patients’ vital signs and maintain medical records.
• Offer family planning and reproductive health counseling.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Must have a CHEW certification from a recognized institution.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or primary healthcare setting (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Salary
N90,000 Monthly.
