Job Title: IT Specialist

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Specialist to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. 
• As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform regular system updates and security patches to protect against vulnerabilities
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Implement and maintain data backup and recovery systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex IT issues across various platforms
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Monitor system performance and optimize where necessary
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on IT systems and applications
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and implementation
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in IT service management tools like ServiceNow or JIRA
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Relevant IT certifications 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging IT trends.
