Job Title: Consultant, Development of 5-Year Strategic Plan

Job Description

• To develop a participatory, evidence-informed 5-Year Strategic Plan that aligns GREENCODE’s mission with current realities, future opportunities, and donor and partner expectations, enabling improved impact, growth, and sustainability.

Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to:

• Conduct organizational capacity and situational analysis (SWOT, PESTLE, stakeholder mapping, etc.)
• Review existing documents including past strategies, program reports, policies, donor feedback, etc.
• Facilitate in-person and / or virtual consultative sessions with staff, board members, beneficiaries, and stakeholders
• Define vision, mission, core values, thematic focus areas, strategic goals and objectives
• Develop a results framework with measurable indicators and an implementation plan
• Propose a high-level monitoring and learning plan to track strategic progress
• Support a validation workshop and finalize the strategic plan document

Key Deliverables

• Inception Report – with methodology, tools, and timeline
• Situational Analysis Report – including stakeholder inputs and organizational review
• Draft 5-Year Strategic Plan – with vision, mission, strategic priorities, and results framework
• Validation Workshop Report
• Final Strategic Plan Document – in Word and PDF, professionally formatted and editable

Expected Timeline:
20 working days, distributed as follows:

• Days 1–4: Document review and situational analysis
• Days 5–9: Stakeholder consultations and strategy development workshops
• Days 10–15: Drafting strategic plan and results framework
• Days 16–18: Validation session and revisions
• Days 19–20: Finalization and submission of strategic plan

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced Degree in Strategic Management, International Development, Public Policy, or related field
• At least 7 years’ experience in strategic planning, organizational development, or consultancy for NGOs
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating participatory strategy processes
• Excellent writing, analysis, and presentation skills
• Familiarity with the humanitarian-development context in Nigeria and globally is an added advantage
