Job Title: Sales Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a Core Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by acquiring and managing strategic B2B clients, including merchants, fintechs, and developers.
- This role is central to our growth funnel strategy, ensuring seamless customer acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue generation by identifying high-value prospects, executing sales initiatives, and fostering long-term partnerships within Nigeria’s digital payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and onboard high-value merchants, fintechs, and developers to drive adoption.
- Develop and execute targeted outbound sales campaigns to attract enterprise clients.
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales messaging with content, events, and campaigns
- Identify, engage, and close deals with merchants, SMEs, and enterprises looking for payment solutions.
- Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns, leveraging industry insights to tailor offerings. Work closely with onboarding teams to ensure seamless integration for new clients.
- Own the sales pipeline, driving deals from negotiation to closure.
- Develop incentive programs to increase platform usage and engagement.
- Collaborate with customer success and product teams to improve partner experience and reduce churn.
- Track and analyse sales performance, ensuring KPIs align with revenue targets.
- Build relationships with merchants and fintech startups, positioning our APIs and payment solutions as the go-to choice.
- Develop strategic partnerships with industry bodies, accelerators, and fintech hubs to amplify brand presence. Leverage social media and digital platforms to engage merchants and developers with thought leadership content.
- Develop strong relationships with key fintech players, enterprise clients, and finance communities.
- Work with cross-functional teams (growth, product, and customer success) to optimize customer acquisition strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, onboard clients, and ensure smooth implementation of our solutions.
- Develop customised engagement plans to increase retention among merchants, fintechs, and developers.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Conduct periodic check-ins with clients to assess satisfaction and address concerns proactively.
Requirements
- Minimum B.Sc holder.
- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships within fintech, payments, or banking.
- Strong understanding of the fintech ecosystem, APIs, and digital payments in Nigeria.
- Proven track record in selling to merchants, fintechs, and the financial industry in general.
- Experience with developer engagement, API sales, or tech-driven solutions is an added advantage.
- Ability to drive strategic partnerships and execute high-impact sales campaigns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of closing high-value B2B deals and scaling revenue.
