Job Title: National Sales Manager

Job Description

  • The National Medical Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales team across the country, ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s business goals. 
  • This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, fostering strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of regional and territory sales managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Prepare and manage the national sales budget and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related field (required).
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or related postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years in medical/pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing a large, multi-regional sales tea
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical/medical device sales.
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lagos/Abuja (or specified HQ location).
