Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Electrical & Instrumentation Material Inspector
Job Description
- SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for QA/QC Electrical / Instrumentation Material Inspector to join its work force in Port Harcourt yard Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Material Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical & Instrumentation materials, equipment, and installations to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Verify the accuracy of dimensions, ratings, and material certifications.
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, and functional tests.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings.
- Prepare and document non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
Quality Control:
- Monitor and control the quality of electrical & Instrumentation work throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in quality control audits and inspections.
- Liaise with construction, maintenance, training teams, subcontractors, and engineers to address quality issues.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit inspection reports, documenting findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Communicate quality issues and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Other Duties:
- May assist with the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
- May be involved in the training of other staff on quality control procedures.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation skill.
- 3+ years of experience in material quality control
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach.
Competencies:
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical & instrumentation materials, equipment, and installation practices.
- Inspection Skills: Ability to perform thorough inspections and identify defects or non-conformances.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ability to accurately document findings and prepare clear and concise reports.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including construction teams, subcontractors, and engineers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
- Experience in QA/QC for electrical & instrumentation projects
Required authorisations:
- Authorization to work in Nigeria.e
Languages:
- English (D-Full professional proficiency).
