Job Title: Company Secretary and Compliance Officer

Job Summary

• As the company secretary and compliance officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and supporting the Board of Directors in discharging their fiduciary duties.
• The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between the Board, shareholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that the company upholds the highest standards of corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Developing an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Compliance Program.
• Coordinating the training of staff in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating Financing of Terrorism (CFT).
• Implementing systems and processes to improve management and ensure compliance.
• Organizing and administering meetings, including AGMs, preparing agendas and minutes, and conveying decisions.
• Creating and coordinating proper reporting channels for compliance issues.

Requirements

• Law degree (LL.B), or a relevant degree in Governance, Business Admin, or a related field.
• ICSAN (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in a listed or regulated entity.
• In depth knowledge of Corporate Governance, all aspect of relevant legislation and regulation of the NGX and SEC.

Salary
Negotiable.
