Job Description

• The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, strategic direction, and ensuring the financial growth of the company.
• The role holders’ duties include managing staff, overseeing the budget, and driving organisational goals forward.
• The GM ensures operational efficiency, business growth, and compliance with industry standards while leading cross-functional teams to achieve corporate goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between management and employees by addressing grievances and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with department managers to forecast and plan for future hiring needs.
• Lead the recruitment and selection process, ensuring alignment with organisational needs.
• Support business growth by developing, engaging, motivating, and retaining human capital.
• Maintain the organisational structure by updating job requirements and descriptions.
• Identify training needs and provide executive coaching as needed.
• Improve talent management processes for operational efficiency and consistency.
• Oversee a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs.
• Provide HR metrics and decision support to management.
• Ensure compliance of Human Resources practices with Employment and Labour Laws

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Postgraduate degree or Professional Certification in Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering or industrial sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
