Job Title: Solar Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines for all operation and maintenance activities as per industry standards.
Identifying and evaluating potential hazards associated with solar energy systems, including electrical hazards, height hazards, and environmental risks.
Providing safety training and guiding the team regarding safe work practices and use of PPE’s at the workplace.
Conducting regular safety audits at the site to check on the adherence of safety protocols.
Daily, weekly or monthly reporting to the management regarding safety protocols, near miss incidents or any hazard
Root cause analysis of any safety related incident and implementation of the corrective action.

Qualifications / Requirements

HND / Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.
Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ideal Candidates will be resident in the location chosen or willing to relocate at their own expense.
Ready to Travel within and outside the country at any time.
