Job Title: Solar Safety Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines for all operation and maintenance activities as per industry standards.
- Identifying and evaluating potential hazards associated with solar energy systems, including electrical hazards, height hazards, and environmental risks.
- Providing safety training and guiding the team regarding safe work practices and use of PPE’s at the workplace.
- Conducting regular safety audits at the site to check on the adherence of safety protocols.
- Daily, weekly or monthly reporting to the management regarding safety protocols, near miss incidents or any hazard
- Root cause analysis of any safety related incident and implementation of the corrective action.
Qualifications / Requirements
- HND / Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.
- Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ideal Candidates will be resident in the location chosen or willing to relocate at their own expense.
- Ready to Travel within and outside the country at any time.
