The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking applications for full-time appointments in several Nigerian paramilitary services, including:
- Nigerian Correctional Service
- Nigeria Immigration Service
- Federal Fire Service
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
Nigerian Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services, under the “General Duty Superintendent Cadre” category. Key positions and their requirements include:
Category A: General Duty (Superintendent Cadre)
- Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and is exclusively for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
- Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water, or allied fields) or Law (LL.B, LLM), and is only available in the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
- Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution.
CATEGORY B: INSPECTORATE CADRE”
- Inspectorate Cadre (Category B):Includes Inspector (CONHESS 06) requiring registered nursing/midwifery qualifications, available in specific services like NCS, FFS, and NSCDC. Also, Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) requiring NCE or National Diploma in a related field.
- Assistant Cadre (Category C):Includes Assistant II (CONPASS 04, General Duty) requiring GCE Ordinary Level/SSCE/NECO with five credits (including English and Math) or Trade Test Grade II.
- Assistant III (CONPASS 03, General Duty, Drivers/Appliance Operators and Artisans): Requires GCE Ordinary Level/SSCE/NECO with four credits or Trade Test Grade III.

- Applications will be strictly online via the portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.org, The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), wishes to notify the general public that its recruitment portal, which was earlier slated to open on Thursday, 26th June, 2025, will now open on Monday, 14th July, 2025″.
- Application Limit: Applicants can only apply to one of the four paramilitary agencies; multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
- Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, possess the necessary qualifications, and be physically and mentally fit, with a medical fitness certificate from a recognized government hospital.
- Character Requirement: Applicants must be of good character and have no prior convictions.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Specific height and chest measurement requirements apply for male and female applicants.
