Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
• The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working in an industrial setting, preferably within the mining sector.
• The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Install and configure electrical components, including motors, transformers, and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize performance and reduce operational risks.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for electrical work.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with mining equipment and industrial control systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PLC systems and automated electrical controls.
• Certifications in electrical safety and compliance.

Work Conditions

• On-site work in a mining environment, which may include exposure to harsh conditions.
• Flexible work hours, including shift-based schedules as required.
