Job Title: Driver
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicle within and outside duty station to transport personnel, materials and supplies including out of hours, weekends and or public holidays as required.
- Record all vehicle logbooks which includes mileage, maintenance history and fuel consumption.
- Report potential mechanical faults on vehicles as soon as they are discovered.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure that all vehicles are fueled when due.
- Provide support to Technical Officers during field assignments.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- O’level with minimum of seven (7) years’ experience or National Diploma in any related course with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment. Valid Driver’s license is essential.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have good communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
- Be fluent in Hausa and possess practical knowledge of driving across Northern Nigeria.
- Exhibit strong understanding of defensive driving techniques, with thorough awareness of traffic rules and regulations.
- Be capable of performing effectively under pressure.
- Show initiative, uphold high moral standards and integrity, maintain a positive attitude, and a strong sense of teamwork.
