Job Title: Investment Analyst – Investment Promotion

Job Summary

• The Investment Analyst will support Onyx Investment Advisory Limited (OnyxIAL)’s Investment Promotion function by conducting market research, financial analysis, investor mapping, and project documentation.
• The Analyst will assist in identifying, evaluating, and preparing investment opportunities across sectors such as infrastructure, agribusiness, fintech, and energy, in alignment with national development priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:

• Manage daily office operations, scheduling meetings, and coordinating communication for the investment promotion team.
• Maintain and update investor and stakeholder databases.
• Prepare and distribute presentations, reports, and other documentation related to investment promotion.
• Assist in organizing events, workshops, and investment forums.

Research and Analysis:

• Conduct comprehensive market and sector research to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends.
• Analyze economic, financial, and industry data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Monitor and evaluate investment policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks relevant to investment promotion.
• Prepare detailed reports, briefing notes, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and report on investment projects, including follow-ups and status updates.
• Build financial models and investment teasers for prospective deals
• Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses on proposed projects
• Prepare investor presentations, pitch decks, and due diligence summaries
• Assist in drafting proposals, MoUs, policy briefs, and call memos
• Maintain an up-to-date investment opportunity database
• Compile monthly and quarterly activity reports for internal/external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Support communication and coordination with investors, government agencies, and other key partners.
• Assist in responding to investor inquiries and requests for information.
• Maintain records of interactions with investors and partners.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Investment analysis, consulting or financial advisory
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Canva, and financial modelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Nigeria’s business and regulatory environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
