Job Description

• We require a dedicated and knowledgeable Chief Engineer to ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of our Line Handling/Mooring Boats.

Requirements

• Verifiable, hands-on experience supporting line handling work for SPM crude off-take operations, specifically from a Line Handling/Mooring Boat.
• Valid STCW certifications and all relevant local and international maritime certifications.
• Excellent understanding of offshore safety standards and operational best practices for highly manoeuvrable vessels.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, crucial for coordinated operations.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Technical Requirements:

• Solid background in the maintenance, repair, and operation of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and specialized deck equipment found on Line Handling/Mooring Boats.
• Expertise in high-performance diesel engines, thrusters (azimuthal, bow, stern), generators, pumps, and hydraulic systems critical for precise maneuvering and towing operations.
• Proficiency in planned maintenance systems (PMS) and inventory management for spare parts specific to smaller, agile offshore vessels.
• Strong understanding of fuel management, lubrication, and pollution prevention regulations (MARPOL)relevant to offshore support craft.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues in the dynamic environment of a Line Handling/Mooring Boat.
