Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for residential and commercial construction projects
• Lead and manage cost estimations and budgeting for government tenders and private contracts
• Review tender documents and ensure timely bid submissions
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop bills of quantities and cost plans for projects.
• Manage project budgets and monitor costs to ensure financial efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to negotiate pricing and ensure quality materials.
• Provide cost advice and value engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.
• Prepare tender documents and assist in contractor selection.
• Collaborate with site engineers and project managers for cost control
• Track project variations and prepare valuation reports

Requirements

• HND / BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3 – 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in preparing government bid proposals
• Strong fieldwork experience and ability to work on-site.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.
