Job Title: Head of Finance

Job Summary

• We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Finance to lead and oversee all financial aspects of our automobile business operations in Benin City.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing budgets, improving profitability, and supporting executive management with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sound financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to management.
• Monitor and manage company cash flow, cost controls, and profitability metrics.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
• Supervise the finance team, providing guidance and performance management.
• Collaborate with department heads to improve financial decision-making and cost efficiency.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify financial opportunities or risks.
• Implement financial systems and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage).
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA is required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the automobile or related industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and Nigerian financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make strategic financial decisions.
