Job Description

• In the fast-paced hospitality sector, the I.T. Support Officer plays a critical role in supporting systems that directly impact guest experience, operational efficiency, and staff productivity.
• The I.T. Support Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of the company’s I.T. infrastructure and end-user systems ensuring the smooth functioning of all hardware and software, maintaining network security, and delivering timely and efficient support services.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to staff, ensuring prompt resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Maintain and support systems (Point-of-Sale software), ensuring optimal uptime.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and routine maintenance of all I.T. hardware including servers, workstations, printers, routers, access points, and other peripheral devices.
• Manage the local area network (LAN), wireless networks, internet access, and telecommunications systems to ensure consistent availability.
• Ensure timely software updates, data backups, and security patches across all systems.
• Provide technical support for meetings, events, and conferences hosted within the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar I.T. support role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong abilities in I.T Hardware support.
• Hands-on experience with hospitality technology systems is highly desirable
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft 365, networking (TCP/IP), Windows OS, and server environments.
• Flexibity to provide after-hours or weekend support as required.
• IT certifications would be an added advantage.
