Job Title: Engineer – Wireless Support Services, Network NG

Mission

• Provision of quality IP/Transmission services and ensuring high availability through effective operations, maintenance, and optimization of the Transmission Network that consistently delight our esteemed customers.

Description

• Oversee the integration, operations, and maintenance of Microwave Radio and Satellite VSAT Elements and Links on NMS servers and service provisioning.
• Performance management and identification of microwave and satellite links that require planning modifications and oversee the activities to ensure new plan is implemented.
• Manage and govern all managed service vendors in the Microwave and Satellite Operations Space
• Ensure resolution of Microwave and Satellite Link Faults and Problems within MTTR.
• Validate equipment trials, Proofs of Concept (POC), First Node Integrations (FNI),  on new microwave and satellite products and technologies.
• Provide high level support to FME/FRE/CSE/CPG on Microwave and Satellite issues and prepare Transmission Performance Reports.
• Engage stakeholders in the management of NMS Servers and Software (Radio Elements and Servers) and ensure smooth network operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on Microwave Transmission Network and carry out planned works for network improvement.
• Carry out Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) for new microwave and satellite links.
• Guarantee optimal transmission availability and performance in accordance with SLAs.
• Provide high-level support to Field Teams on Microwave issues and prepare transmission performance reports.
• Investigate and resolve defective microwave links on the network, radio frequency interference, and microwave transmission, and give feedback to management when required.
• Provide training on microwave radios to internal units.
• Support relevant teams to drive audit initiatives for regulatory compliance.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates should possess a First Degree in Engineering or related disciplines 
• Fluent in English 

Experience:

• 3 – 7 years’ experience which includes.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Telco environment.
  • Experience in Microwave, Satellite, and related emerging transport technology, IP, DWDM, Fiber Technology and ICT
