Job Title: Internal Audit Officer

Role Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to support the development and execution of our internal audit strategy.
• This role involves conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits across key departments.
• The successful candidate will play a vital role in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending improvements that strengthen governance, risk management, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessment and business priorities.
• Conduct risk-based audits across various departments to assess process efficiency and policy compliance.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and operational activities.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Prepare clear, well-documented audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Support management in strengthening compliance and control systems across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3 – 5 years of relevant audit experience in internal or external audit functions.
• Partly or fully qualified in the following professional certification; ACCA, ACA, CFE, CIA, CISA, or other related professional certification

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively.
• High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.
