Job Title: Production Officer (FMCG)

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Officer to join our team in Lagos.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facility, ensuring that all products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• A solid background in FMCG manufacturing and prior experience with quality audits such as BRC and Organic Certification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Implement and monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare for, participate in, and ensure compliance with BRC (British Retail Consortium) and Organic Audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, process reports, and compliance documentation.
• Identify production bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery are maintained and operate safely.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to uphold product standards.
• Monitor inventory levels for raw materials and packaging to avoid production disruptions.
• Train and guide production staff to follow best practices in hygiene, safety, and process efficiency.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc./HND in Food Science, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with external audits such as BRC and Organic Certification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good leadership and team coordination skills.
